your own links directory is
an extremely valuable asset:
But building it isn't something you can do in a few days. It takes time and effort. What you need is software that will carry out most of the tasks automatically.
STOP Press: Before I go on, let me mention that I have just discovered a system that builds reciprocal links automatically. After you've set it up, which takes about twenty minutes for each site, it requires no more work from you at all. Now, please understand that it doesn't replace what I am about to tell you below because you'll still need an automated way for sites to request a reciprocal link. But it does create reciprocal links with link text containing any of your ten most important keyword phrases. And it does this at the rate of about ten new reciprocal links per day. OK, let's continue:
Over the years I have used several software systems for finding and creating reciprocal links. Recently I decided to be more scientific and used three different systems for the same amount of time each day.
The contenders:
The three systems I trialled were Arelis, Zeus and LinkMachine. The first two run on your PC where they keep a copy of your links pages that can be uploaded to your web site via FTP.
Arelis is very fast at finding potential link partners but quite slow at reviewing them. Has the advantage that potential links can be marked with user created tags. For instance, you can create your own tag for sites that require a minimum PageRank so that, if you don't have the necessary PR, you can easily apply at a later date.
Zeus is also very fast and, although you need to spend sometime training it, thereafter it finds a huge amount of potential link partners. The authors also claim that using other link-building programs that query or use the search engines for finding web sites, data or information can penalize or even get your web site banned.
LinkMachine takes a different approach and consists of PHP scripts that reside on your web server and uses a web interface control panel. It's easy to use, sends out all emails automatically and has a powerful premium option that will find potential link partners by PageRank.
The result:
They all work very well but I found that, although LinkMachine finds fewer potential link partners and does it more slowly than either Arelis or Zeus, it concludes the most reciprocal link partnerships per hour of my labour.
Conclusion:
LinkMachine
is my preferred solution because:
- It automates
more parts of the process.
- Its Premium SEO module finds potential
link partners by Google PageRank.
- Most importantly for me, it concludes more reciprocal link partnerships per hour of my labour.
Overall and as my time is precious, LinkMachine is my preferred solution. But don't take my word for it...
